NOTICE DESCRIPTION

This page allows the Buyer to provide details about the bid notices by entering the necessary information in each of the data fields available.

The Title should represent a brief summary of the items or services being procured. This field will be displayed as a short summary in search results list so a user can quickly identify the opportunity. For example if you were purchasing computer equipment the Title could contain: "50 desktop computers with flat panel monitors and printers". The Title should not include text such as "Invitation to Apply for Eligibility and to Bid" as this information is already part of a notice.

The Description should include all relative information about the procurement process as well as any terms and conditions or qualifications that may be required. The description should provide users with sufficient information about the procurement so that they may be able to make a decision as to whether they would be interested in participating in the bidding process. If the notice represents a Negotiated Procurement, the description should state the reason for resorting to Negotiated Procurement.

Line Items are used to identify individual items being procured. If it is the intent to award multiple contracts against the advertised procurements then line items must be used to identify the individual lots or items for which there may be an individual award. Each item to be awarded must also include a corresponding budget. Awards may only be made against a predefined budget so a notice must contain multiple budgets if there are to be multiple awards. To add line items, click on Line Items.

Other Information allows the buying organization to define additional requirements or rules associated with the procurement process including whether bid document fees may apply and how fees should be paid.

The buyer may save a notice as a template to use with the creation of future notices. To save information as template, click Save as Template.
