|
Qualifications 1. At least a master’s degree holder in Statistics or other related courses; 2. With experience in sampling, survey and questionnaire design,preferably in agriculture and/or fisheries research; 3. With extensive experience in conducting research and surveys for government agencies, particularly PSRTI; and 4. Preferably with experience in studying policy,plans,and programs indicators in the Philippine Statistical System.
Responsibilities 1. Lead the facilitation of the sampling design and assist in the drafting of survey operation protocol to be employed in the baseline survey; 2. Provide technical inputs in all required deliverables by: -Preparing the list of sampled farmers and fishers as well as replacements from the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA); -Computing for the final sampling weights to be used in the analysis of survey results; -Preparing the templates of statistical tables to be used in the analysis; -Assisting in the finalization of the data collection instruments and manual; and -Assisting in the preparation of the project’s technical reports together with the Project Leader, the Research Associate for Field Operations and the PSRTI Team; 3. Participate in the internal team meetings and project meetings organized by the DA, and lead the conduct of the internal meetings in the absence of the Project Leader; 4. Participate in the presentation of results and other similar activities such as data dissemination forum for the project; and 5. Maintain close coordination with the PSRTI on the implementation of the project.
Deliverables 1. Sample – Contains the list of farmers and fishers selected from the RSBSA, and organized by province and city/municipality; 2. Sampling Estimation Procedures – Contains the final sampling weights and the process for estimating survey results; 3. Table Templates – Contains regional and commodity disaggregation of data which will serve as basis for analysis in the technical report; 4. Inputs to the Final Data Collection Instruments and Manuals; and 5. Inputs to the Draft and Final Technical Reports – Includes baseline data for the NAFMIP indicators. |
